Famous Cricketers who may go unsold in the upcoming IPL Auction 2019

The Indian Premier League player auction is set to take place on December 18. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League will be held around 29 March 2019. All the franchises of IPL had submitted their player retentions and releases to BCCI on November 15

Some star players like India’s Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir might see their IPL career come to an end. Also New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum, Australian cricketer Mitchell Johnson and Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami may go unsold in the IPL auction 2019.

All-rounder Yuvraj Singh was dropped from Kings XI Punjab’s in the previous IPL. He has played only seven List A matches since May and he managed just 65 runs in 8 matches at an average of 10.83. The 36-year-old has scored just one half-century for Punjab.

India’s batsman Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles. He was also a part of a terrible season with Delhi Daredevils last year as he moved to Delhi Daredevils to help the team better their record, but unfortunately, he failed miserably. The skipper decided to move out from the team for the rest of the season after recording just one win in six matches.

New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he played only six matches in the last IPL season. He scored 127 runs at an average of 21.16. He in his last Afghanistan Premier League T20 tournament notched just 158 runs at an average of 19.75 in eight matches.

Australian Mitchell Johnson has a bad IPL with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season. He picked up two wickets in six matches at a miserable average of 108. He recorded an economy rate of 10.28. He also has not played a professional match since the IPL. So there are chances that he might go unsold in the upcoming IPL auction.

Fast Bowler Mohammed Shami last year IPL with Delhi Daredevils was not great. He picked up only four wickets in three matches at an average of 48. He conceded 10.40 runs per over in the competition. He played his last T20I in July 2017.

So there is a valid reason why there five players may remain unsold in the upcoming IPL Auction 2019. Cricadiumprovides every cricket update and will also provide with the most accurate IPL T20 match prediction.

VVS Laxman predicts India will win the upcoming Test Series against Australia

The three-match T20I series between India vs Australia ended in a draw 1-1. The first T20I at the Gabba Brisbane was won by Australia by 4 runs after the revised D/L target for India has been raised to 174. Australia prematurely ended the match at 17 overs due to heavy showers that prevented last three overs from being played.

The second T20I at Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 23 was called off due to heavy rain. Yesterday India leveled the three-match T20I series by defeating the host by six wickets.

Now all the attention moved to the IND vs AUS four-match tests series that will begin from December 6. The first test is scheduled at the Adelaide Oval. Many cricket experts are predicting the outcome of this clash. India’s former cricketer VVS Laxman also has some predictions for this fiercest rivalry.

Many experts believe that India can win due to the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner. But VVS Laxman feels that India has the talent that can help them to emerge victorious.

VVS Laxman said, “There will be no possibilities of drawing as its difficult to make a draw in Australian conditions. India will not get an opportunity to make it happen not because Steven Smith and David Warner is not playing in the Australian team. India has quality players to achieve it. Lets hope, they fulfill my prediction as because India has talent, potential and they should play according to it,”.

Before Men in Blue play the first test at Adelaide, they will play a 4-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI in Sydney from November 28 to December 1.

The first test at Adelaide Oval will be followed by the second test match at Perth Stadium on December 14. On December 26 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the third test will be played and the last and final test match will be played on 3 January 2019 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Pakistani cricketer Rameez Raja feels India vs Australia series cannot go without sledging

A cricket match between India and Australia is one of the fiercest rivalries in cricket. Former Pakistani cricketer Rameez Raja believes that India vs Australia cricket match can never go without sledging from either side.

India vs Australia first T20I match was held at The Gabba, Brisbane ended without any verbal exchange between the two teams. Indian Team skipper Virat Kohli stresses on a sledge-free summer in Australia prior to the tour began.

But ahead of the 2nd T20I match in Melbourne, Rameez Raja feels that “India vs Australia series cannot go without sledging from both sides.” He also said, “After a long time it looks like India could topple Australia in Australia because it’s a composed team and Australia will find it tough without Smith and Warner.”

Rameez Raja has an opinion that the current Indian side does stand a chance to fall the Australian side Down Under in the ongoing tour as the hosts are a depleted side without their key players that are Steve Smith and David Warner.

Talking about Dhoni, Rameez Raja said, “MS Dhoni is not just any player, for what he brings to the team he needs to be there till 2019. What he was doing for the last 15 years is not working anymore so he will be flabbergasted but he can move on.”

Since January 2013, none of the full-fledged series between India vs Pakistan had taken place. The two cricketing rivals only meet through contests in ICC tournaments. Rameez Raja expressed grief over India-Pakistan cricket matches. He said, “I will never understand why cricket is always made the scapegoat and why we can’t leave politics out of it.”

The second T20I match between India vs Australia that was scheduled on 23 November at Melbourne Cricket Ground was called off due to rain. Now the third T20I is scheduled to take place on November 25 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Some unknown facts about the Best Batsman in the World – Virat Kohli

Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni has been seen on many occasions calling Virat Kohli with his nickname Cheeku from behind the stumps on the field. But it is not Dhoni who gave him this nickname.

Virat Kohli’s father passed away in 2006 when he was playing his first Ranji match against Karnataka but the strong man Kohli batted on the next day and scored 90 runs. His coach convinced him to play the next day by saying that his father’s dream was to see Virat as a big cricketer.

Virat didn’t complete his schooling as he couldn’t complete his 12th because he was playing for under 19 at that time.

Dhoni reveals the reason why he promoted himself ahead of Yuvi in World Cup 2011

Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni had taken various surprising decisions in his cricketing career. In ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Twenty20 final, Dhoni asked Joginder Sharma to bowl the final over which was surprising. Similarly, he promoted himself ahead of Yuvraj Singh during World Cup Final 2011.

But the unique thing about Mahi is that the on-field decisions taken by him under critical situations have mostly gone in his favor. MS Dhoni now revealed the reason behind the surprising decision of promoting himself ahead of Yuvraj Singh who is the Man of the Series in that tournament.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 final, Sri Lanka scored a total of 274 runs on board where Mahela Jayawardene scored 103 runs.

In reply, Team India found themselves shaking at 2/31 after losing two major wickets of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. Then Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli hold the innings with an important 83-run stand for the third wicket.

Then in the 22nd over, Virat Kohli was dismissed and then Dhoni came to bat and sealed the match with a 109-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Dhoni during the launch of MS Dhoni Residential Cricket Academy in Dongargaon town revealed that he knows most of the bowlers of Sri Lanka as they were part of the Chennai Super Kings earlier. He promoted himself because Muralitharan was bowling at that time.

Dhoni told that he has played with Muralitharan a lot in the CSK nets and he was confident that he will be able to score runs freely against him. That was one of the main reasons why he pushed himself up the order during the final.

Mahi’s decision was good for team India as he made 91 runs in ICC World Cup 2011 final. MS Dhoni is one of the most successful cricket captains of all time. He said that before him selectors were quite reluctant to make stumper as captain. As per selectors perspective, they said that he will be burdened too much.

But Dhoni changed their view with his successful tenure as the captain. Mahi said, “Keeper is in the best position to help any captain analyze the match. He is very close to the action and can accordingly guide the team leader about many things. He is an asset for any captain. He can release the burden on the captain with his inputs,”.

MS Dhoni’s absence during India vs Australia T20I series will be missed by Men in blue

The Indian National Cricket Team take on Australia in a three-match T20I series without MS Dhoni. India’s tour of Australia will consist of 3 T20Is, 4 Tests and 3 ODIs.

It seems as the new era has begun as the man who was an integral part of India was dropped from the shortest format of the game. The selectors told that they wanted to give an opportunity to Rishabh Pant as a wicket-keeper.

Ahead of the 1st T20I at The Gabba, Brisbane when India’s 12-man squad was announced, on social media Dhoni’s fans expressed the sorrow of not seeing Thala in T20Is at Australia.

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli will surely miss the services of the Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Dhoni is one of the most iconic cricketers in the world. In the last T20I match that Dhoni played against England at Bristol in July 2018, Kohli was seen taking Dhoni’s guidance. Even the bowlers also who sought inputs from Mahi on fielding changes and other.

The 37-year old is an experienced player and with his support, Kohli is proving his skills as a captain. India’s current wicket-keeper is Rishabh Pant but not to see Dhoni as the gloves-man is something which the entire team will miss.

As far as the Decision Review System (DRS) is concerned, it has been observed that there wasn’t a more perfect cricketer than MS Dhoni. When Kohli went for the review despite Dhoni not being convinced resulted in the decision going against India’s favor.

Simply Dhoni’s presence on the field is a boost morale of the young players. It has been said that ICC World Cup 2019 will be the last international assignment for Dhoni.
