All about IPL Franchise Chennai Super Kings

The Chennai based franchise cricket team in IPL is the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The team was founded in the year 2008 and it plays its home matches at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

CSK had served a two-year suspension period from the IPL along with other IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals from July 2015 due to their owners who were involved in the 2013 IPL betting case.

Though CSK was suspended for 2 years, yet their popularity did not decrease. They have been the most consistent team of IPL and also the most successful franchises in the tournament along with Mumbai Indians.

CSK then returned to the league in 2018 and won the championship in the comeback season for the third time. They emerged as the winner in the three IPL seasons in the year 2018, 2011 and 2010. CSK also won the Champions League Twenty20 in the year 2010 and 2014.

The team is captained by MS Dhoni and is coached by Stephen Fleming. MS Dhoni’s leadership is one of the prime reason why CSK is one of the most followed franchise. The Chennai based franchise holds the record of most appearances in the IPL playoffs i.e. nine and in the final i.e. seven.

CSK is one of the most valuable franchises in the IPL. The brand value of the Chennai Super Kings in 2018 was estimated at $65 million. Ahead of the upcoming IPL auction 2019 that is scheduled on December 18 in Jaipur, IPL stats show that Chennai Super Kings is the third most popular IPL team on social media after Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.

Before IPL 2019, CSK has its Facebook followers: 12M, Twitter followers: 4.46M and Instagram followers: 1.5M. It will be really interesting to watch whether CSK manages to win IPL for the fourth time or not in the upcoming season that will start from 29 March 2019. The final IPL 2019 schedule is yet to be released.

Dale Steyn predicts the outcome of India vs Australia upcoming Test series

Many current cricketers and former cricketers have predicted the outcome of the series. Most of them believe that this is the best chance for Team India to win the series as Aussies are a depleted team due to the absence of its key players.

South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn has predicted the outcome of the upcoming IND vs AUS four-match Test series starting December 6 in Adelaide.

Dale Steyn told the hosts to clinch the series despite the absence of their star players Steve Smith and David Warner. He said, “I’d probably go with Australia, just in terms of history against India. The amount of touring they (India) have had this year, the guys might be a bit tired,”.

Steyn opines that Team India started off their exhausting 2018 year by going to South Africa and then they went on a long tour of England. Virat Kohli and his men lost to South Africa in a closely fought Test series and were completely ruined by England in the five-match Test series.

Dale Steyn said, “Even in England, I put my money on England to beat India, but India pushed them. I thought that England’s bowling would be the thing that pipped India, but India’s bowling really surprised me and if they continue in that vein they could cause some trouble down here (in Australia),”.

Team India in the previous 11 visits to Australia has never managed to win a series there. Out of 44 Tests that Team India have played in Australia, India has won just five matches. So the upcoming test series would be very crucial for Team India.

The first Test is scheduled to take place at the Adelaide Oval from December 6, the second test from December 14 at Perth Stadium, the third test from December 26 at Melbourne Cricket Ground and the fourth from January 3 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Sunil Gavaskar Commented on Australian Culture to win at all the Costs

After India vs Australia T20I series ended in a draw 1-1, now the two teams will clash on December 6 for the first test of a four-match Test series. The first Test will be played at the Adelaide Oval, second at Perth Stadium, third at Melbourne Cricket Ground and the fourth at Sydney Cricket Ground.

As Team India is preparing for the tests, Cricadium is preparing to provide its Cricket fans the most accurate today cricket match prediction only for entertainment purpose.

Former Australian Captain Michael Clarke had said Australia “won’t win a game” without their infamous abrasive attitude. After which former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar commented that Australia have the culture to win at all cost and in order to do so their players tend to break the fine line between cheating and gamesmanship. Aussies tell India that they will not cross the line but what their line is no one knows, told Gavaskar.

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has hit out at Australian culture to win at all the costs and said, “Their attitude over the years has been most different from other teams where they look to win at all cost. There is a fine line between breaking the rule and bending the rule. And their (culture) review told the world that their administrators did nothing about it,”

Gavaskar added and said, “Australians coming in and engaging in abuse, I have never understood that. That’s why now when they are losing, everyone is laughing. While even the Windies team is struggling, everyone wants them to come up. That’s the difference. That’s why people liked the West Indies team that won so much. Even Australia had a team that dominated for more than a decade but no one liked them for the way they played,”

Moreover, at the beginning of this year, Australian cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner were being banned for 12 months each while Cameron Bancroft was suspended for nine months due to their involvement in a ball-tampering scandal.

Should Rohit Sharma open in India vs Australia 1st Test after Prithvi Shaw’s ankle injury

India’s tour of Australia started with a three-match T20I series and now the tour will witness the four-match test series that will start from December 6 in Adelaide.

Ahead of the four-match Test series, Team India is playing a 4-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI at Sydney and a bad news hit team India. Prithvi Shaw who is going to open for India in the tests twisted his left ankle which led to him ruling out from the first test.

Prithvi Shaw was in a great form as during the second day of the practice match he slammed a half-century against Cricket Australia XI. He also had an impressive debut against West Indies during the previous series.

The young player scored 66 runs off 69 balls. He hit eleven boundaries and helped India to score a total of 358 runs. Prithvi Shaw scans revealed a lateral ligament injury and he will undergo an “intensive rehabilitation program” to return soon.

Now after the Prithvi Shaw injury who has been in fine form with the bat, the question arises who should open for India in the first test. However, fans have backed Rohit Sharma to stand up in Prithvi Shaw’s absence and open in the first Test.

Rohit Sharma performed amazingly well in the limited-overs format and cricket fans on Twitter want Rohit Sharma to open for India after Prithvi Shaw is ruled out. Rohit has not been a regular in the Test team but has been impressive in white-ball cricket for India.

Dwayne Bravo said Dhoni’sT20I career is not over until he decides

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has received harsh criticism over his performance in the year. Starting from the series against England to the recently concluded ODI series against West Indies, Dhoni had a poor performance

In the ongoing series against Australia, MS Dhoni is dropped out of the Indian squad for T20Is. He has been also dropped from the T20I series at home against West Indies.

Selectors said that they wanted to try Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik in the shortest format. So for the series, Rishabh Pant is appointed as India’s wicketkeeper.

Many have stated that the T20I career of 37-year old might be over after his exclusion for the West Indies and Australia series. But Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings teammate Dwayne Bravo feels different.

Trinidadian cricketer Dwayne Bravo who was a former captain of West Indies feels that Dhoni still is one of the best players in the world and has proved himself on many occasions. He said that the decision when to quit T20Is should be left on Dhoni to take as no one but he himself decides when he is over.

Dwayne Bravo said, “No. Someone like him can never be over until he decides it’s over. There are always talks around, and people call for different players heads at different times. It is up to the player. I think MS has proven, even in this year’s IPL he has proven, again and again, that he is still the best in the world and he will decide when it is his time. No one decides when it is his time,”.

However, MS Dhoni despite being given many opportunities managed to score only 398 runs in 18 innings this year at an average of 28.42 across formats. To get the latest cricket updates, click https://www.cricadium.com/.

Base Price that some Australian Cricketers can set for themselves in IPL Auction 2019

The IPL Auction 2019 is all set to take place on December 18 in Jaipur. Franchises have already submitted their list of players retained and released from their squad but this it is high time that franchises should determine the player requirements of their squads.

In an IPL Auction, the base prices are set by the players themselves. The maximum base price which a player can set for himself is 2 crores and the minimum base price is 20 lakhs.

In IPL 12, the franchises are allowed to spend a maximum of 82 crores on developing a squad. The ideal base price that some great Australian players can set for themselves is- Glenn Maxwell (2 crores), Aaron Finch (2 crores) and Mitchell Starc (1 crore). While New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum can set his base price as 1.5 crores.

All-rounder Glenn Maxwell was released by the Delhi Daredevils following a bad season in 2018. Maxwell is one of the finest players who can fetch a big amount in the auction. He is a regular in T20 international cricket for Australia and is in good form. He is considered as a big destroyer when he is at his best form in T20 cricket. So, Maxwell can afford to keep his base price at the highest 2 crores and could even get a big amount.

Aaron Finch, just like his fellow Maxwell is one of the most destructive strikers in the shortest format of the game. He has the highest individual score at an international level in T20 cricket. He was shockingly released by the Kings XI Punjab after his last season’s performance. He is a huge name in the world of T20 cricket and so his ideal base price of 2 crores is very apt.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc is now ready to come back to the IPL after missing three seasons due to injuries. He is the premier fast bowlers in the world. But Starc is unlikely to attract profitable bids because of his damage in the past. So, his base price of 1 crore is apt and it is hard that IPL teams will exceed his base price.

Moreover, New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum can set his base price as 1.5 crores. Ahead of IPL 2019, the Royal Challengers Bangalore vid him farewell. He is the most destructive opener in T20 cricket. Though he is a retired international player he plays almost every T20 league across the world, so he can attract a lot of bids. His base price of 1.5 crores is fair.

Base Price that some Indian Cricketers can set for themselves in IPL Auction 2019

The IPL Auction 2019 is about to take place on December 18 in Jaipur. Franchises have already retained their core squad and released some players but now it is high time that they should ascertain the player requirements of their squads.

In an Auction, the base prices are set by the players themselves. The maximum base price a player can set for himself is 2 crores and minimum base price as per the revised rules is 20 lakhs.

In IPL 2019, the teams are allowed to spend a maximum of 82 crores on building a squad. The ideal base price that some Indian players can set for themselves is- Axar Patel (2 crores), Jaydev Unadkat (1.5 crores), Mohammed Shami (1.5 crores), Mohit Sharma (1 crore)

Axar Patel ahead of IPL 2019 was surprisingly excluded from the Kings XI Punjab. He is a good T20 player who has been performing well over the years. Every team would like to have a player like him in their squad. So, his base price of 2 crores seems correctly justified.

Jaydev Unadkat was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 IPL auction for ₹11.5 crores who was the most expensive Indian cricketer in the auction but he failed to live up to the expectations and was released ahead of IPL 2019. Franchises are interested in Unadkat and his value is much higher than a few other Indian seamers. So, his base price of 2 crores seems quite fair.

Delhi Daredevils released Mohammed Shami and he will be looking for a new team at the IPL auction 2018. He is very impressive Test bowler but his record in T20 cricket hasn’t been great. He may not be a big name in T20 format but he is an Indian capped seamer with a wealth of experience that can afford him a base price of 1.5 crores.

Mohit Sharma was first signed by Chennai Super Kings for the 2013 edition of the IPL and was brought again by CSK in the 2014 IPL auction for 2 crores after finding himself in auction pool. Ahead of IPL 2019, Mohit Sharma was released by Kings XI Punjab. The capped Indian has not played international cricket in three years. A base price of 1 crore seems apt for the Indian pacer.

A shocking Revelation: An official Stopped MS Dhoni From Captaining in Asia Cup 2018

The former Indian women skipper Mithali Raj was being dropped in one of the crucial matches of the World cup quite controversially. The board administrators seemed to interfere in the team selection process.

Mithali Raj wrote a letter to the BCCI regarding a treatment given to her in return of all the services she has given to the nation.

Mithali Raj wrote a harsh letter to the BCCI in which she accused coach Ramesh Powar of ‘humiliating’ her and Committee of Administrators member Diana Edulji of ‘using her position against her’. After her explosive letter, Dhoni’s case has complicated the situation even more.

The Men in blue clinched the Asia Cup 2018 title and have established themselves as the champions. A shocking fact has come to the limelight after months of the tournament’s completion.

In one of the super four matches between India and Afghanistan, MS Dhoni captained Team India. Rohit Sharma was appointed as the captain for the Aisa Cup in the absence of the regular Captain Virat Kohli while Shikhar Dhawan was appointed as the vice-captain.

When both Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan deciding to opt out of the match against Afghanistan to take rest, the responsibility to lead fell on the senior most and experienced player MS Dhoni.

However, recent reports have revealed that an official Stopped MS Dhoni From Captaining in Asia Cup 2018. Here is what the source said to Times of India.

Source revealed, “In the match against Afghanistan, Rohit Sharma rested himself and the Indian team management decided to hand over the captaincy to MS Dhoni because of his seniority and also as a special gesture. A senior BCCI administrator, however, kept insisting that appointing MS would’ve been a regressive step and said the next senior most cricketer should lead the side. So, all this talk about outsiders not interfering is absolute nonsense. The administrator refused to give MS the captaincy which was very weird given his experience.”

The report also mentioned that the BCCI administrator also intervened in team matters and ensured that a Grade C cricketer was handed a Grade B contract.

Ishant Sharma told that India’s only aim is to win India vs Australia Test Series

The four-match test series of India’s tour of Australia will start from December 6 in Adelaide. India vs Australia is one of the hardest rivalries in cricket. The result of the match is hard to predict between the two teams.

Cricket fans often before the match looks for ‘Who will win today match’ and the answer to this query is provided by Cricadium. It provides the most accurate match prediction after doing a lot of research and considering all factors.

After India vs Australia three-match T20I series that ended in a draw 1-1, the focus now shifts to test series. Before the first test in Adelaide, Team India will take part in a 4-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI in Sydney.

India’s Ishant Sharma ahead of the test series cautioned that Australia is good enough to cause problems, regardless of the turmoil in its cricket. He told that Team India is pretty motivated. Their aim right now is to win the series and that is what everyone is focussing on. They don’t even think of personal performances, just one aim, to win a series in Australia.

Last time when India played in Australia, they were whitewashed 4-0 and this time India simply focus on winning the test series. Ishant Sharma said that the tour game is serious because it will set the tone for them. One gets to know the conditions because they are playing here after a long time and so one can get into the groove and get used to the conditions.

Indian bowlers gave terrific performances in South Africa and England earlier in the year and a lot of onus will be on the Indian pace attack. Ishant said, “Pressure is there but I think it is a great opportunity as well. We have a healthy competition in the pace attack. If you are not doing well, you can be left sitting out and watching the game.”

He thinks it is a great opportunity to do well in any conditions. He told that they did well on the last two tours of South Africa and England and they are not even thinking like they have a pressure situation. Instead, they always think that they have an opportunity to do well.

He concluded saying that it is always better to be on toes and be ready for their opportunity when they hit the ground. He said India’s bowling combination depends on wickets and conditions. So it is very early to talk about combinations.

Ishant Sharma said, “Right now we are talking about how to make most of the practice game and what combination we will play in the practice game,”.
